The New York City Cassette Tape Projects is a non-profit artist collaboration with the mission of spreading the names and sounds of small artists from all throughout the tristate area. With artists' approval and input, songs are recorded onto cassette tapes and then distributed to local music stores in each borough of New York City.
New York City Cassette Tape Projects cassette tapes are not for sale anywhere, at any point. To get your own tape, keep an eye on NYCCTP socials as well as making frequent visits to your local music shop. There, tapes will be left amongst the general collection of that given store's physical media. NYCCTP cassette tapes are branded with the NYCCTP logo as seen above.
The menu (either at the top or side of your screen) has an "Artist Submission" tab in which artists can leave their email, name of their band/artist, as well as specific songs or bodies of work they recommend we consider. The artist will be contacted as soon as their work has been considered.
NYCCTP is now looking for visual artists for 2025! If you are an illustrator and would like to join, you can use the same "Artist Submission" tab. Be sure to tag your socials as well so we can review your art.
